Why Choose Reconditioned?

Reconditioned pallets are inspected and graded to the same standards as our new pallets. If you need a cost-effective, sustainably-sourced option, UWP can supply Grade A or Grade B reconditioned inventory in bulk. Every pallet leaves our yard meeting the grade specification you order.

Reconditioned pallets reduce waste, lower your pallet cost per unit, and support circular supply chain goals — without sacrificing the consistency your operations demand.

Pallet Grades

Same grading criteria applied as for new pallets. Choose the grade that fits your operational needs and budget.

Best Quality

Premium Grade A (#1)

Wide (6") lead boards on both top and bottom decks. No block repairs on stringers. Minor cosmetic chip-back acceptable (up to 1"×8"). Suitable for automated handling and food-adjacent applications.

Standard

Standard Grade A

Wide lead boards on top deck only. Split stringers permitted if reinforced with corrugated metal repair plates or heavy-duty staples. For most general-purpose warehouse and distribution use.

Economy

Grade B (#2)

Maximum one repair block per forklift cavity. Most economical option for non-automated, single-use, or low-cycle applications where cost-per-pallet is the primary driver.

What We Inspect Before Grading

Every pallet in our reconditioned inventory is physically inspected before grading. We check:

Structural Integrity

All stringers and blocks evaluated for splits, breaks, and crush damage. Deck boards checked for missing, broken, or inadequately fastened boards.

Dimensional Compliance

Pallets must meet dimensional tolerances for the declared grade. Warped or out-of-square pallets are rejected or downgraded.

Fastener Condition

Protruding nails, missing fasteners, and loose boards are identified. Boards requiring re-nailing are repaired before grading.
